NAME

       NETRAF - Network Analyzer and Traffic Logger

DESCRIPTION

       netraf is a programming project being in realization
       at Institute of  Computer Science at Wrocław University
       (in Poland) as our  License Work.
       Project's main target is to develop application helping
       in some aspects of Network Load Profiling.

       Netraf consist of three independent, autonomous programs:

       netrafd  -  This is in fact "work horse" of whole project.
       It is responsible for packet capturing,  applying  filters
       to them and generating statistics.

       netrafg  - Graphical User Interface program. It is "remote
       control" allowing user to steer particular  parameters  of
       other  two  daemons.  It is also the only "window" showing
       everything live.

       netrafl - is a logging daemon. It's main work is to  write
       statistics gathered by netrafd to files.

FILES

       [/etc/netraf/]*.conf - configuration files
       [/usr/local/bin/]netrafd,netrafg,netrafl - program files
       [/var/log/netraf/]*.log - various netraf log files
       [/var/run/netraf/]* - netraf pid and shmid files
